Bikaner
the Royal fortified city with a timeless appeal. Lying in the north of the Desert State, City is dotted with many sand dunes. Bikaner stands on a slightly raised ground and is circumscribed by a seven Km long embattled wall with five gates. The magnificent forts and palaces created with delicacy in reddish-pink, sandstone, bear testimony to its historical and architectural legacy.

Day 03 - Tal Chhapar & Shekhawati

Early morning on arrival at Padiyar and depart to Black Buck/Crane Sanctuary for small birding trip and return to the train for breakfast. After breakfast we travel Ramgarh. On arrival we visit Mehnsar thereafter visit Mandawa, Nawalgarh and Roop Niwas. Later in the evening return to train for Overnight journey to Jaipur.

The Tal Chhapar wildlife sanctuary in Rajasthan, India is known for the black-buck that is a flat saline depression with its own ecosystem. A number of migratory birds visit this region especially the harries.

Ramgarh  town was founded by the Poddars in the late 18th century. The Poddars left the town in discontent against the then ruler of Churu. Unlike the frescoes on the havelis in the other towns and villages of Shekhawati, the finest frescoes depicting scenes from the Ramayana in Ramgarh can be seen on the ceiling of a chhatri or cenotaph built to commemorate a Poddar scion.

Mandawa is a town in Jhunjhunu district of Rajasthan and is known for its fort and Havelis. This town has been referred to as the "open art gallery" of Rajasthan because the entire Shekhawati region and not just Mandawa is dotted with fascinating mansions(havelis) that have lavishly painted walls.

Day 04 - Jaipur

Arrive early at Jaipur and have the final breakfast on Heritage on Wheel. Later disembark the Heritage on Wheels. End of the Luxury Rajasthan train trip.
